Prolouge. No title yet.A light breeze slunk delicately through the trees stirring the fragile autumn leaves clinging to the dark branches. The half-light of evening enveloped the forest and the crimson light of the setting sun made shadows creep forwards like fingers reaching out to grasp the unwary. The road, nothing but a hardened muddy track, was quiet and empty.Prolouge. No title yet.
An owl hooted breaking the taut silence. It swooped through the trees like a phantom creature it’s ghostly white wings, tainted red in the twilight, luminous in the dark canopy. There was a slight squeaking noise as a mouse was plucked off the ground by the bird and carried away to be eaten.
